House Drama Victory
Inter-House Drama, which took place yesterday, was a roaring success! In the space of a single day, the girls had to respond to a stimulus, devise a play and bring it to life on stage. It was an incredibly tall order, demanding creativity, collaboration and a good deal of quick thinking. Needless to say, under the excellent direction of Jasmine M, the cohesive, talented and impassioned team rose to the task with real poise. Winning best play, best actress (well done, Francesca!) and overall winners, today was a very happy Friday with a sense of celebration in the air. I’m immensely proud of the Drama team, they certainly did us proud and I hope will enjoy the memory of this event for a long while yet.
Next up is House hockey. Alongside pleasant autumnal conditions, we also hope for a lot of fun and, of course, a willing spirit from everyone. As I always say and repeat here, to say “yes” and to fill the gaps in a team is always more important than raw skill. I hope girls step forward for our teams next week with a sense of responsibility.
Pimlico Crafts
Our Friday morning craft mornings continue, providing yet further (albeit, fun) challenges. Well done to those girls who have learnt how to make pompoms and who will put this skill to excellent use for our Christmas craft fayre.
With only one week left until the half term break, I urge girls to keep focused and to keep going well. There is still important curriculum to cover next week, a lot of prep to complete and, for our Choristers, an important end of term Cathedral service coming up. I look forward to seeing all of this happen with an upbeat spirit and cheerful smiles.
May I kindly remind parents that Pimlico closes on 23rd October at 4.30pm. All day studies must be emptied by then. Thank you for helping your daughter to take all her belongings home throughout next week and for organising transport in time for the earlier finish.
