VIRTUAL TOUR

Corporate Events at DCSF

Our beautiful and historic facilities provide ideal locations for both residential and non-residential occasions: lunches, meetings, training programmes, conferences, seminars, exhibitions, receptions, product launches, and more.

On one end of the scale, our Big School Hall can accommodate up to 300 people for standing receptions and our lecture theatre seats 90 for talks and lectures.

For smaller events, there are meeting and dining rooms across the Foundation’s three city centre sites suitable for groups of 100 and fewer.

Durham itself is perfectly placed for travel with direct links with London Kings Cross. Newcastle and Teesside airports are within easy reach. Regional travel is straightforward with good road links to Newcastle, and Sunderland.

The Foundation’s six centuries of history will impress and inspire your delegates, and provide the perfect location for your event.

Guests attending your event can stay on-site in comfortable rooms with views of the school grounds.

Up to 100 people can be accommodated in a choice of single, twin-bedded and dorm rooms.  A small number of rooms have en-suite bathrooms, but otherwise facilities are shared between two or three delegates.

Some ground-floor rooms are available for guests with minor disabilities.

Unlike many venues in Durham as well as adult conferences we also specialise in accommodating children and family groups.

A message for families affected by the closure of Durham High School

We understand that this will be a difficult and uncertain time for many Durham High School pupils, families and staff as they consider the next steps for their education and future.

If your family has been affected by our neighbour school (Durham High School) closure, and you would like to discuss the options available to join our school, our Admissions Team is here to offer guidance, answer your questions and provide support in a confidential and compassionate manner.

Whether you are seeking information about places, transition arrangements, transport, scholarships, bursaries or simply wish to talk through your circumstances, we would be pleased to help.
