Another busy week in MacLeod; House Drama, fixtures, Sixth Form Information Evening and the most exciting of them all, MacLeod Traitors!
MacLeod Traitors
The Traitors have been on a brutal killing spree with many victims falling and some girls being voted out by their tutor groups. We are not halfway through and with just a week to go, will the Faithful be able to suss out who the Traitors are or will the Traitors prevail.

House Drama
Yesterday saw a new format for House Drama; a play in a day. The girls were given a stimulus to choose from, and the theme of our play was ‘The Invisible Town’.
The girls worked incredibly hard all day to put together a 10 minute play with girls across all year groups, with set design, lighting, sound and performance. It was lovely to see the girls work so hard together and collaborate with such kindness and enthusiasm.
The girls were first up and delivered a memorable and comedic performance that they should be very proud of, we certainly are. Erin our standout performer according to the adjudicator.
Overall, we placed 5th.
My thanks go to Chinmayi in Year 12 who was our director and the following girls who took part:
Year 7: Jessica, Ella, Issh, Iona, Elizabeth
Year 8: Lucy, Sienna, Olivia, Lucy, Lyla
Year 9: Lottie, Nadia
Year 10: Olivia
Year 11: Narjis, Poppy, Erin, Grace
Sixth Form: Faye, Darcy
Chapel Readers
Thanks to Lucy (Y8), Lottie (Y9) and Chinmayi (Y12) for reading in Chapel this afternoon.
Half Term Collection
Advanced information about collection on the day we break up for October Half Term, Friday 23rd October.
We have our half termly chapel service at Durham Cathedral – it is a wonderful opportunity for the whole school community to come together in such a spectacular building. Parents are welcome to attend. We will all return to the house at approximately 4pm so the girls can gather their belongings and be collected – MacLeod will close at 4.30pm latest, please ensure your daughter’s can be collected by that time and the school bus will go early at 4.30pm from the quad too.
If you would like to collect your daughter straight from the Cathedral, please email me by Tuesday 20th October.
