We’re delighted to celebrate the success of Zac H, who has recently completed his A Levels at Durham School and is now appearing on screen in Extra Geography.
During his time at Durham, Zac was a boarder in School House and became a passionate member of our Drama community. His talent for performance was clear throughout his time with us, including his memorable portrayal of Bottom in A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
It is particularly special to see this role come full circle. In Extra Geography, Zac once again plays Bottom, this time as part of a school production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. IMDb credits Zac as Bottom in the film.
Zac’s passion for performing has continued beyond Durham, and earlier this year he took to the stage at the Gala Theatre, playing the lead role of Caractacus Potts in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
From performing on the Durham stage to appearing on screen, Zac’s journey is a fantastic example of where dedication, talent and a passion for the performing arts can lead.
Extra Geography, directed by Molly Manners, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2026 before its UK premiere at the Edinburgh International Film Festival in August.
We’re incredibly proud to see Zac taking this exciting next step and to see a role he first performed at Durham become part of his journey on screen.
