Dear Poole House Boys and Parents/Carers,
Yet another busy week in the house both on a sporting and drama front. The annual House Drama competition took place on Thursday evening. The highlight of the day for me was to see so many of the boys from all year groups, 21 in total, come together and work as one for the House. This year’s theme was a play in a day, all houses were given the same brief on Thursday morning at 8.45 then had the day to bring it all together. From the script, to the lighting to the roles given out and of course the directing. It was brilliant occasion and the boys thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Awards were handed out for,
· Best Play
· Best Use of Design & Tech (all or some: lighting, sound, costume, props/set)
· Best Actor
· Points from all categories will contribute towards the overall title of House Drama winners
Well done to Pimlico who were the overall winners. We may not have won however I think Mrs Brownlee summed it up brilliantly by saying, “it was Great to see different kids on the stage and behind the scenes, it’s such a fun day! Please pass on my congrats to your boys, there were lots of lads who have barely done any drama involved, that was what was great about how stuck in they got!
Well done to all involved.
