Thank You for everything

We congratulate Miss Fern Hodgson, who, after successfully completing her teacher training with us, takes up her first teaching post at Junction Farm Primary School. Mrs Fiona Lee also moves on to a new role at Newton Hall Infant School. Both have made a positive impact on the lives of our pupils through their warmth, enthusiasm and dedication, and we wish them every success in their future careers.

Within our Learning Support Department, Mrs Nicola Thompson retires after many years of valued service. Nicola has been a trusted source of knowledge, kindness and reassurance for pupils, families and colleagues alike. As she begins retirement, we wish her many happy travels and wonderful adventures with her husband.

We also say goodbye to Miss Leanne Blackbird, whose patience, compassion and one-to-one support have made a significant difference to many children over the years. Her kindness and dedication will be greatly missed.

Following a fixed-term contract supporting our Foundation Stage during Mrs Shaw’s maternity leave, Mrs Jo Sutton completes her time at Chorister School. Jo brought flexibility, professionalism and enthusiasm to every aspect of school life, contributing not only in the classroom but across a range of wider school projects. We thank her for all she has done and wish her every success for the future.

Finally, we bid au revoir to Mr and Mrs Bowler as they begin an exciting new chapter in France. As Senior Housemaster of Barrington House, Simon has provided exceptional care and guidance for our Choristers, while his musical talents have enriched the life of the School. Jo has been the organisational heart of our Music Department, ensuring its many activities have run seamlessly behind the scenes. Together, they have supported generations of Choristers with warmth, commitment and enthusiasm, leaving an enduring legacy within our School community.

We also thank our departing Resident Tutor team for the care, encouragement and support they have provided to our Choristers and the wider pupil community. Their enthusiasm and commitment have been greatly appreciated, and we wish each of them every success in the future.

As we look ahead to a new academic year, we do so with immense gratitude for everything our departing colleagues have contributed. Each has played an important part in shaping the warm, supportive and inspiring community that makes Chorister School so special.

From everyone at Chorister School, thank you. We wish each of you every happiness, good health and success in the exciting chapters that lie ahead. You will always be a valued part of the Chorister School family.
