As we break for half term, it is a time to reflect on what a busy half term it has been. The girls have thrown themselves into all aspects of school life both inside and outside of the classroom. The House Spirit on show during House Hockey, House Drama, our bake sale, socials and the buzz around MacLeod ‘does’ The Traitors has really been something to be proud of. At the time of reading, we will likely be sat in Durham Cathedral as a whole community celebrating everything this half term has offered and no doubt ready for a 2-week break. I hope the girls and staff use this time to recharge and have some fun before returning for the very busy second half of term which brings much to look forward to.
The Sixth Form enjoyed their Autumn Formal on Monday evening with the girls all dressed up in black tie dresses.

The finalists in each year group were asked if they thought there was a Traitor left in their group. If one or more people believed there to be a Traitor left, the girls then voted as to who they thought the Traitor was – this person then revealed whether they were a Faithful or a Traitor. If the girls did not believe there was a Traitor present, the girls just revealed whether they were a Traitor or a Faithful.
If the remaining girls were all Faithful, they all won! However, if there was a Traitor left in the final 2 or 3, the Traitor won and the Faithful lost.

After all the results were counted between all the A and B team competitions, we came 1st overall! A brilliant victory for some excellent hockey and a wonderful show of House Spirit across all age groups with all team requirements fulfilled. Well done, girls!!
