Dear Poole House Boys and Parents/Carers,
Week six already! I continue to be impressed by the Poole House boys in the way they manage to fit so much into their week. Last weekend, the Senior School open morning happened on Saturday, and it was wonderful to see so many Pooleites give up their time to be excellent ambassadors for the school. The morning was incredibly successful with over fifty families coming to look at the school, and I am sure Poole House was the highlight of the tour for most!
Last Saturday, all boarders had a lovely social night at School House, with a quiz night excellently hosted by our Head Boarder, pupil Tin B-D. It was a wonderful evening and another great opportunity for the whole boarding community to come together.
The Year 12 had their parents evening on Tuesday of this week, and yet again it was so pleasing to hear of the fantastic start to the Sixth Form the boys have had, especially those who have only recently joined us.
Father Simon has launched the school charity event recently, celebrating 100 years of our Chapel, the pupils have been challenged to cover 100KM in 100 days, by running, walking, cycling or swimming. All money raised will be split equally between the two charities below and donations can be made using this link, Durham Cathedral Schools Foundation Online Community
Always a Riflemen project, Supporting serving and former Riflemen in crisis through practical and emotional assistance,
Chapel Fund, preserving and enhancing our historic Chapel for future.
