Poole – 23 October

Dear Poole House Boys and Parents/Carers,

It has been a good week in the House. The boys (and the staff!) are looking forward to their well-deserved half-term break. This week were learned of the theme for this Years house music, and many boys are already excited about choosing our song. Following last year’s triumph, the pressure is on this year to become back-to-back winners.

On Wednesday evening, some of the Upper Sixth Pooleites accompanied our Year 7 boys out for tea. The boys, along with me, Mr Hughes, Miss Slipman, and Mr Madigan went to the new Sambuca restaurant on the River walk in town. It was a brilliant evening, and such a pleasure to see our youngest and oldest pupils mixing together and enjoying each other’s company. Thank you to our wonderful Head of House Toby H for organising the evening.

Charity information

Father Simon has launched the school charity event recently, celebrating 100 years of our Chapel. The pupils have been challenged to cover 100KM in 100 days, by running, walking, cycling, or swimming. All money raised will be split equally between the two charities below and donations can be made using this link: Durham Cathedral Schools Foundation Online Community.
