Pre-School and Pre-Prep Weekly Blog

This week Pre-School enjoyed the sunshine and had fun in their tunnels. The children used their imaginations and described mining for gold through the tunnels.  Reception have been creating and writing about mythical creatures including mermaids, unicorns and the Loch Ness Monster.  Year 1 enjoyed putting their knowledge of dinosaurs to the test in Science this week. The children played ‘Who Am I?’ riddle games and had great fun playing Dinosaur Top Trumps. The children listened to the characteristics of each dinosaur and answered questions based on the riddles given. Well done!  Year 2 were using their position and direction skills to play a game using compass points and clockwise and anti-clockwise.  They had to feed a robin worms, seeds and slugs, but only if they got the directions correct!  Our busy week culminated in Book Trust’s Pyjamarama Day with all the children sharing bedtime stories while feeling cosy in their pyjamas.
