Welcome to the Durham Cathedral Schools Foundation

Durham Cathedral Schools Foundation today unveils the new school badge and branding that will take the newly merged education institution into the future.

A team of staff has worked with North East branding agency Founded to develop a bright, modern symbol for the 3 to 18 independent education journey right in the heart of Durham City.

The shapes, colours and religious symbology are taken from the two existing school badges of The Chorister School and Durham School and given a contemporary line-drawn twist.

Kieran McLaughlin, Principal of Durham Cathedral Schools Foundation, said:

School badges are the most visible representation of a school. They adorn our uniform, on signage at the entrance and around campus and across all of our literature and website. They are instantly recognisable and are the banner under which we compete against other schools.

We have brought together two very different school badges to reflect the merger in a way that respects our shared rich heritage whilst offering an exciting new crest as we start this new journey.
