Farewell to Chorister School Head – Sally Harrod

After an incredible 10 years of leadership, we say a fond farewell to Sally Harrod as she moves on to take up her next chapter.

Since joining in 2016, Sally has led with warmth, clarity of vision, and an unwavering commitment to putting children at the heart of all we do. Throughout her time at Chorister School, she has played a central role in shaping and strengthening school life, ensuring pupils are given the very best opportunities to learn, grow, and thrive.

Her leadership has been instrumental in developing key aspects of the school experience, from pastoral care and pupil wellbeing to wider enrichment opportunities, traditions, and day-to-day school routines. She has always championed a strong sense of community and belonging, helping to create an environment where pupils feel supported, valued, and encouraged to achieve their best.

During a period of significant growth and change, Sally has provided steady and thoughtful leadership. Her calm approach, high expectations, and clear sense of purpose have helped guide the school forward while keeping the needs of pupils at the centre of every decision.

Above all, Sally will be remembered for her genuine care and attention to the people around her. She has celebrated successes of all sizes, recognised individual contributions, and ensured that both staff and pupils have felt appreciated and supported throughout their time at the school. She is also known for her ever-present happy smile, often warmly greeting pupils, parents, and staff as she moves around school.

As we say goodbye, we do so with enormous gratitude for everything she has given over the past decade. She leaves behind a strong legacy and many very fond memories across the whole school community.

We wish her every success and happiness for the future and thank her sincerely for her outstanding contribution to our School.
