Pupils, staff, families and guests came together at the Radisson Blu Hotel Durham for the Durham School Girls’ Sport Dinner 2026, an evening dedicated to celebrating the outstanding achievements, commitment and determination of our female athletes throughout the year.
The event provided a fitting opportunity to reflect on another successful season of girls’ sport, recognising both individual and team accomplishments across a wide range of disciplines. Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed a formal dinner before coming together for the awards presentations, where pupils were recognised for their performances, dedication and contributions to their teams.
While sporting success was celebrated, the evening also highlighted the values that underpin sport at Durham School. Awards and reflections acknowledged the resilience, leadership, teamwork and sportsmanship demonstrated by pupils throughout the year, both in training and competition.
The evening showcased the depth of talent across the school, with numerous success stories shared from a year filled with memorable performances, personal milestones and collective achievements. It was a wonderful opportunity to recognise not only results and accolades, but also the hard work and commitment that take place behind the scenes.
The Girls’ Sport Dinner also provided an opportunity for pupils, staff and families to celebrate together, reflecting on the friendships, camaraderie and sense of community that sport helps to foster across the school.
Following the presentations, guests enjoyed a disco that continued late into the evening, bringing a fantastic conclusion to a night of celebration and recognition.
