Pre-School and Pre-Prep Weekly Blog

Year 2 have been making predictions and carrying out a comparative investigation in Science to explore what conditions plants need to grow.  They have also been making use of the Computing suite to create Power Point presentations about their favourite topics. Year 1have created paper mache dinosaur eggs in Design & Technology using their designs from last week. The children will then follow their original design to paint their eggs and they are very hopeful that a dinosaur may hatch out of them!  Reception Class have been thinking about the story ‘The Princess and the Pea’ and have been making pease pudding, designing and making a comfy bed for the princess, and writing about the story. They also planted their Morrisons’ ‘Seeds of Hope’ and can’t wait to watch them grow!  Pre-School have been exploring the story of ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’. They measured different beanstalks using cubes and made their own magical harps by threading wool to make the strings.

All of the children and staff in the Pre-School and Pre-Prep completed 100 exercises for the Captain Tom 100 event.  It was wonderful to see how enthusiastic and energetic they were!  Thank you very much to everyone who has kindly donated to our Just Giving page.
