Chorister News Wellbeing

This week, in the lead up to Children’s Mental Health Week, our Senior Wellbeing Ambassadors, Anna B, Harry W, Matthew R, Ethan B, Clara M and Nicoleta J, have been supporting activities linked to this year’s theme, “This Is My Place.” Working alongside the Place2Be charity focus, the ambassadors helped promote the importance of belonging, safety and wellbeing across the school community, encouraging pupils to reflect on what makes them feel secure, happy and valued.

As part of this work, our Chorister pupils from FS1 to Year 6 took part in a range of creative activities designed to explore what “my place” means to them. Through playdough, drawing, collage and painting, pupils across EYFS and Primary expressed the people, spaces and experiences that bring them comfort and joy. These activities provided a gentle and accessible way for younger pupils to talk about emotions, relationships and positive wellbeing.

It was particularly rewarding to see our Year 13 students working alongside and supporting pupils in the classrooms. Their leadership, care and enthusiasm created a positive and nurturing atmosphere, benefiting both the younger pupils and the senior students themselves. This interaction highlighted the strength of our school community and the value of cross-age collaboration in supporting and emotional wellbeing between the generations.
