Here is just a snapshot of all that DSBC got up to this academic year. The 2024/25 season was a triumph, with consecutive brilliant performances across a range of races and regattas.

One major highlight saw the senior boys take part in the Schools’ Head of the River in London, marking the club’s return to the prestigious event for the first time in four years.

Despite challenging weather conditions, DSBC continued to push forward, training at Durham University’s facilities to stay on top form.

Zack continued his success in Beach Sprints, representing England in the 1x at the Home International Beach Sprint Regatta, where he achieved an impressive third place. He also claimed victory in the 1x, mx 2x, mx 4x, and 4x at the Welsh Championships in Saundersfoot.

The team also shone at the Ponteland Junior Head, where DSBC was named Best Performing Club of the Day and secured Fastest Boat of the Day, an outstanding team achievement.

Another unforgettable moment was the incredible trip to Rotterdam, offering not only picturesque scenes but also significant progress for every rower who attended.

To round off the season, the Durham Regatta was an incredible highlight as always, with fantastic performances and great memories made.

DSBC wrapped up the year with a lovely evening, celebrating all the club’s achievements this season. A huge well done to all winners!

Well done to everyone for the dedication and teamwork shown throughout the year. A heartfelt thank you to our amazing staff and coaches for helping the team shine, and to Banks Homes for their valued support.

From training beside the school to cruising along the rivers of Rotterdam, it’s been an incredible year for DSBC!
